Soup Bowl is the primary fundraising activity for Side by Side in Service.
Side by Side is a community-wide activity involving people from many churches in Lumpkin County who spend a workday ministering to people in the community. On a Saturday in April, Christians in the community gather to be the eyes, ears, hands and feet of God and show his love by ministering to people in the community.
Currently, Dahlonega Methodist Church, St Luke’s Catholic Church and Dahlonega Baptist Church will be sites for the fundraising activity. Members of the congregations and volunteers from other community churches serve soup as a way to raise funds to support the activities of Side by Side.
- Dahlonega Methodist Church (11am – 2pm)
- St Luke Roman Catholic Church (12pm to 2pm)
- Dahlonega Baptist (12pm to 2pm)
All proceeds will go to Side by Side as they prepare for the day of service.
How can you participate?
- You can volunteer to assist at one of the churches listed above.
- Your church can sponsor its own activity to raise funds to support Side by Side on Soup Bowl Sunday.
- You can make a donation to Side by Side.
